Just like Conversion Diary's 7 Quick Takes, except it's half as long and twice as good.

One of the things I like about WordPress is it’s Spam Capturing feature. Makes it a lot easier to manage the comments. And they’re pretty amusing, too.

I every time spent my half an hour to read this weblog’s content every day along with a cup of coffee.

This is my first time pay a visit at here and i am in fact pleassant to read everthing at one place.

I simply needed to thank you very much again. I am not sure the things that I could possibly have achieved in the absence of the entire creative concepts discussed by you relating to such field. It became a real fearsome problem in my position, nevertheless seeing your professional manner you resolved that took me to jump over joy. I am happy for this help and as well , have high hopes you know what a great job that you’re putting in training many others using your webpage. Most likely you have never met any of us.

“Most likely you have never met any of us” – thank God for that!

And finally, this came today:

Today is the funeral for Younger Son’s classmate who committed suicide last week. He’s asked to attend, so I’ll be taking him. It’s gonna be a sad day. Please remember the boy and his family in your prayers today.

Parenting is not about inoculating our kids from the pain and tragedy life throws at them – it’s about giving them the skills to deal with the pain and tragedy that will inevitably come their way.

UPDATE:  We’re back from the funeral – it was held at our ‘home’ parish.  I have many things to say about it, later…but suffice it for now to say I will be making arrangements to have my future funeral held at any other parish but that one.  Lord have mercy!

So…anyone really care about the Super Bowl? Or is most of the hype about the ads? Frankly, I don’t care about either. I’m excited that pitchers and catchers report to Spring training in less than three weeks, and that the second half of the NHL hockey season is underway.

Sunday’s Mass was an exercise of patience – during his homily, the priest included a rather lengthy quote from (leave your guesses in the combox – you’ll find out if you’re right next week!)

Now it’s your turn – write your own 3½ Time-outs Tuesday post, steal the pic at the top, and link back to this post by clicking on the Blue Frog, and follow the instructions. It’s easy, painless and free. So join the Posse today – especially you guys. This is the testosterone version of 7 Quick Takes. Your Man Card gets punched when you participate!

Because of a formatting quirk with WordPress, the links don’t show up on this page. You have to click the Blue Frog to see who’s participated. But that’s not so hard, is it? So write up a post – I’m interested in what you have to say!

p.s. The link is open until noon EST Thursday So you have time to get your post included!

  1. Praying!

And I’m in again, but I had to update my pic to reflect the reality of the testosterone-v.-momblogger situation. We’ll see if the guys can muster enough takes to prevent the AoA takeover from becoming just another round of maneuvers from the Ful-minator’s restless minions.

  2. So…anyone really care about the Super Bowl

    Bite your tongue! Go Giants.

As for the homily, I am just gonna guess Karl Jung. I had the complete opposite experience. Our visiting priest – from Detroit, as a matter of fact – gave a fired up homily about the HHS mandate. Good stuff.

  4. So…anyone really care about the Super Bowl?

I usually don’t, but this year I do because the Ravens/Patriot and 49′er/Giants game were epic brawls and I simply have to see how the saga ends.
